Okay, I'm just a normal teenager. right? Yeah so I live in Alaska, a small rural town. Tok. That simple, Tok, Alaska. Population of 1,200 in the winter and 1,500 in the summer. Crazy. Oh well. But just living here makes life hard. For anyone. Not just a teen. I've lived in Tok since I was 7. 10 years. I'm 17 now. If you didn't get that. Anyways. It's really hard to live here, you can't go to Walmart and screw around, or even Fred Meyers. There's no malls, no swimming pools, no movie theaters, and no bowling allies.. This place sucks! Only thing that is great about it, is four wheeling around town. Dirt roads, being able to blast music, and not worrying about people complaining. So, I guess you could say we have some advantages, but not many.
You could say, I live a boring life. But in reality. I love it. Better then the South, in my opinion. Not many others would agree ever with me. I love Tok. I guess you could say. It's grown on me. I love to travel, and in Alaska you can and not see a town for miles, or even another car. It's all woods. I could walk through the woods and not hit a house for miles. It's great. This is a nice place to come for a vacation. If you just want to relax.
I go to the High School here, it literally has 53 high school students. The Graduating class, my class, six people are graduating. Our class back in 2nd, when I got here. Was at least 20 kids! Now it's six.. Horrible.. Just horrible. In total our school has 153 students. That is K-12th grade. Sad! Honestly just sad! But that is another great thing about Tok. It's small. More attention is paid to the students. Another downer about Tok is, the teams are small. Any sport you want to play, just know not many kids are going to be on your team. My volleyball team had 8 people. Our Basketball teams, have 10 to 15. That almost the whole high school. Once again. The biggest class we have is about 23 students. That is the freshmen!
In reality, Tok is just how you take it. Once I move, I'm not coming back. I want Tok to become a little livelier, but I'm just not able to help Tok. Hopefully the rail road will.
